Frequently Asked Questions
If you have questions about digital printing and color copying, our professionals can help. Below please find some of the most frequently asked questions posed to our printing company. Feel free to contact us if there is anything else you need to know.
1What Do You Print?
We print all kinds of paper products for individuals and small businesses. We print business letterheads, postcards, banners, business cards, brochures, and more. We also print promotional items, including pens, tote bags, bottles, socks, mugs, and others. Whatever your method of promoting your brand, we have the resources to help.
2Do You Print or Copy?
In addition to our digital printing service, we can create color copies of any material you need. We print in color on a variety of materials in an assortment of sizes – no matter what you need, we can make it happen!
3How Important is Resolution?
Very important! Resolution for pictures and graphics should be set to at least 300 dpi. Images pulled from the internet are typically lower resolution, often 72 dpi or 96 dpi. These resolutions are blocky and pixelated when printed, so they should be avoided. You should also submit all photos in CYMK mode rather than RGB mode – RGB mode may not print properly. If you are unable to save your image in CYMK mode, please let us know during the planning process.
4Is White a Printing Color?
Not generally. Because the default color of paper is white, white in printed items usually count white as the absence of color. However, white ink may sometimes need to be used if you are printing on colored paper.
5I Don’t Have a Design in Mind. Can You Help?
Yes! Our digital printing company has in-house graphic designers to help you through the process from beginning to end.
6Do You Print Wedding Invitations?
We can create all of your wedding-related printed products. From save-the-dates to thank-you cards, we can take care of any mailing products. We even carry flower girl baskets, ring bearer pillows, and other items you can use in your ceremony and reception.

8Does Pioneer Printers, Inc. / Gardei MFG make grinding wheel cushion blotters and labels?
Yes. Pioneer Printers, Inc. / Gardei MFG specializes in producing high-quality grinding wheel cushion blotters and labels. Our blotters are designed to meet industry safety standards, providing proper cushioning and even pressure distribution between the grinding wheel and its mounting flanges. We also manufacture durable, custom-printed labels to help with product identification and branding.
9What size grinding wheel blotters can you make?
We manufacture grinding wheel blotters in a wide range of sizes. To determine availability, simply provide us with the outer diameter and inner diameter (OD x ID) of the blotter or label you need (measured in inches or millimeters). If we have that size in stock, we will confirm availability. If not, we can either recommend the closest available size, or custom produce dies to match your exact specifications. Please note that custom sizes may involve an additional charge.
10Can you create adhesive & non-adhesive blotters and labels?
Yes. We manufacture both adhesive and non-adhesive blotters and labels to meet a variety of application needs.
11Can you print on the blotters and labels?
Yes. We can print custom information on both grinding wheel blotters and labels. This includes manufacturer details, safety instructions, wheel specifications, and any other text or graphics needed for identification and compliance. Printing directly on the blotter or label ensures important information is clearly visible and permanently attached to the product.
12What is the difference between a grinding wheel blotter and a grinding wheel label?
A grinding wheel blotter is a specially designed paper washer placed between the grinding wheel and its mounting flanges. Its main purpose is to provide cushioning, evenly distribute clamping pressure, and enhance safety during operation.
A grinding wheel label, on the other hand, is typically printed and applied to the wheel surface to display important information such as manufacturer details, wheel specifications, maximum operating speed, and safety warnings. While both are made of durable paper materials, blotters serve a mechanical safety function, whereas labels serve an informational and identification function.
13Can you print and die-cut black paper bake-on labels?
Yes. We can produce black paper bake-on labels in either unprinted or custom-printed versions. For printed labels, you can choose from our selection of pre-approved heat-resistant ink colors. All labels can also be die-cut to your exact specifications to fit your application requirements.
14What is a Texon segment pad for a grinding wheel?
A Texon segment pad is a durable, compressible paperboard component used in the mounting of large grinding wheels, particularly segmented wheels. Its primary function is to provide cushioning between the abrasive segments and the wheel’s mounting flanges. This cushioning helps distribute clamping pressure evenly, reduces the risk of wheel damage, and enhances operator safety.
Texon material is valued because it is strong, stable, and resistant to heat and pressure, making it well-suited for the demanding conditions of grinding operations. Segment pads also play a critical role in extending wheel life and maintaining consistent grinding performance.
We carry Texon segment pads in two standard thicknesses: 1/16 inch and 1/32 inch, to meet a variety of application needs.
15Do you carry materials that are resistant to fluids such as coolants?
Yes. We carry poly material that offers excellent resistance to fluids, including coolants and lubricants commonly used in grinding operations. Our poly is available in three standard thicknesses: .010, .015, and .020 inches. Depending on the application, certain thicknesses can also be ordered in either low-density or high-density options.
While these are not considered blotters, they are a great option for applications where fluid resistance and durability are especially important.
16Can you assist with high-volume or repeat orders?
Yes. We can accommodate both one-time orders, large volume orders, as well as repeat orders.
